In this episode of Online Marketing Basics for Busy Website Owners I talk with branding and colour expert Colette Stevenson about creativity, what makes a great user experience when it comes to website and Clubhouse.
Since childhood, Colette felt “creative” and despite starting her professional path as an educator, she eventually found her way back to her passion for graphic design.
We cover what it means to be able to talk about design and creativity without a formal education in the subject (and I should know!) and cover how we both feel about modern website design trends.
Expect to hear our opinions on color palettes, negative space, typography, menus, and the website alignment plus I show Colette one of the WORST website designs in the world (as voted for by Reddit users!)
We also find time to chat about how we feel about Clubhouse, the newest social media app on the block, and how we think our weekly Friday website review show is going on there.

I really enjoyed this relaxed and friendly approach. It just all makes sense. Thank you both
Thanks so much for listening!
Really enjoyed this podcast and listening to you both. I definitely want to try clubhouse too when it’s available on android!
I hear that an Android version is coming soon!
Very enjoyable. Cardboard families rule!
Still not sure I’m ready to give up embossing graphs, on my poky PowerPoint presentations though!
It’s time Shaun π
